35K books sold on first day at PU’s Book Fair


LAHORE: (Friday, February 21, 2025): Thousands of people participated in the second day of Pakistan’s largest three-day book fair organized by Punjab University, while more than 35,000 books were sold on the first day. On the second day, senior journalists Salman Ghani, Tofeeq Butt, Najam Wali Khan, including renowned columnists, journalists, lawyers, doctors, writers, poets, teachers from other campuses of PU, students from schools, colleges and other universities, and people from different walks of life participated.

On this occasion, the participants said that organizing a positive activity like the book fair at PU is commendable. They said that other universities should also organize book fairs like PU. Books bring about personality development and positive changes, they expressed. They said that to compete with the world, we have to take our students towards deep study instead of shortcuts. They said that wherever there has been progress in the world, it is only due to books. The book fair will continue on Saturday (today) as well, in which it is hoped that people will come with their families.
